I am not surprised how beautiful Florence Welch's bohemian London home is are you? The images are from Vogue 'Rock the Casa' shoot from May 2013 which I have just discovered it today thanks to an email from a lovely Moon to Moon Reader.

You can tell this eclectic home is a labour of love, with items individually picked by Florence, rather than thrown in by a stylist/interior designer. Modern artworks such as the Keith Harring and Tamara de Lempicka's 'Self portrait in the green Bugatti' hang above that beautiful sofa next to Victorian botanical prints. I love the bright contemporary turquoise paint running though the home paired with vintage finds like the Victorian Piano shawl in the dressing room, and that stunning bed!

Hope you all have a great weekend, dont forget to enter the give away which closes on Wednesday

Large Round Mirrors...

Round Mirror
Rounded Mirror in dressing room
Round office mirror
Large round mirror: Eclectic, vintage interior
Large round mirror: Sera of London
I am on the hunt for a big, beautiful, round vintage mirror for the top of my stairs. I found a beautiful one in a local charity shop but by the time I had returned to collect it, it had been snapped up by someone else.

My house is pretty light anyway but there is a darker area at the top of my stairs and I am hoping a mirror on the opposite wall may reflect enough light over for a house plant to live there happily.

Unusual Homes from around the World....

Boroujerdi House - Kashan - IRAN
A Turkana home in the Northwestern part of Kenya.
Mud House Design in Cameroon.
Ndebele House, South Africa
An earthen building in Burkina Faso
Ceramic Sculpture Home by Laurie Spencer
Aren't these handmade homes from around the world awesome? Made out of mud, sand and other natural materials, their build quality and low impact on the environment put our modern homes to shame. They also look great!

Personally I would choose the Turkana Home, it looks so cozy. Which would your choose?

Bohemian Bedroom: Adding a splash of colour...

Adding a splash of colour with a bright yellow bedspread
Bold and Confident: matching walls to bedding makes for a dramatic look
Beautiful Blue: Lara Sturgis's Home via Justina Blakeneys Skill Share

Pretty in Pink Girls room (or boys) I would have loved this when i was small
Wonderful green!
Weather you are renting and have plain white walls that can't be changed, or you own and are stuck in a rut, colour is the way forward!

Just changing your bedding can have a dramatic effect on the vibe of your bedroom, so chuck away, or better still, dye those old bedspreads, paint that boring bedside table and chest of draws and learn to embrace colour ... woo hoo!!1

I havent done a post dedicated to the Dinning Room before, so thought it was about time I did.
I have been a little absent recently as I have started a new job on a children's ward for 5 months (then back to A&E/ER), which is hectic and I  have been on Holiday for my birthday, but I am back and so will be the more frequent posts, and give aways :)

Gabriele Galimberti, Delicatessen With Love

Normita Sambu Arap, 65, Oltepessi (Masaai Mara), Kenya. Mboga and orgali (white corn polenta with vegetables and goat).
Julia Enaigua, 71, La Paz, Bolivia. Queso Humacha (vegetables and fresh cheese soup).
Susann Soresen, 81, Homer, Alaska. Moose steak
Serette Charles, 63, Saint-Jean du Sud, Haiti. Lambi in creole sauce.
Isolina Perez De Vargas, 83, Mendoza, Argentina. Asado criollo (mixed meats barbecue).
Isn't this Photography project wonderful? Kind of reminds me of Martin Parr's work. Here Gabriele Galimberti pays homage to all the grandmothers of the world and to their love of cooking up a plate of good nutritious, homemade grub!

Gabriele travelled the Globe Photographing the grandmothers in their own homes, with the ingredients and cooking up their own recipes, including Moose steak in Alaska, caterpillars in Malawi, shark soup in the Philippines and spicy hot curry in India (yum!)
